About Discover Scuba Diving Tour

Discover Scuba Diving at TARP

For first-timers, the Introductory Dive, also referred to as a “Discover Dive“, is the ideal choice. It provides you with the opportunity to get into the water, feel the sensation of diving, and possibly encounter marine life, all under the careful supervision of an instructor.

However, it’s essential to note that a Discover Scuba Diving session doesn’t grant you certification for future diving endeavors. It’s a one-time experience designed to help you determine if you enjoy diving and if your schedule allows for longer commitments. To take part in an “Introductory Dive,” you must still demonstrate proficiency in a few basic skills and review some essential concepts. The dive typically commences with a thorough briefing either on board a vessel or close to a swimming pool.

Sapi Island, part of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park’s five islands, stands as the smallest among them. Nestled off the south-western tip of Gaya Island, Sapi Island showcases one of the park’s most stunning beaches, alluring snorkelling and scuba diving enthusiasts. The island is thoughtfully equipped with a range of amenities, including a jetty, picnic shelters, barbecue pits, tables, changing rooms, and toilets.

One of the island’s remarkable highlights is the presence of enormous monitor lizards, some reaching a length of up to 2 meters. Their presence adds a unique charm to Sapi Island’s natural setting. For an exhilarating experience, visitors can enjoy the Coral Flyer, claiming to be the world’s longest island-to-island zipline, serves as an exciting and attractive feature for visitors seeking an unforgettable experience on the island.

s the park’s second-largest island, Manukan holds a special place in the hearts of Kota Kinabalu residents due to its immense popularity. The southern shore of Manukan is adorned with beautiful beaches, and the most breathtaking one awaits at the eastern tip of the island. Snorkelling, diving, and swimming enthusiasts can delight in exploring the mesmerizing coral reefs along the coast.

Manukan Island is truly a gem, renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise seas, sandy beaches, and lush greenery. The island of Sabah eagerly awaits your arrival, promising an unforgettable experience amidst its stunning natural beauty.
